Okay this post is being made as i looked at the loggs the last few days
and it seems some people have had some problems with loging
on the server Smile

The details for the server is:

eodo808.no-ip.info

port 11023

There is a password to the server, send me a pm or Eldria if you want to join us on mumble.

Here is the set up guide for you Linux users also it is here this is a long post.....

I. Download it - Windows

Go here -> http://mumble.sourceforge.net
And you choose windows link : 1.2.2 (Stable)

Image was made when 1.2.1 was out please do not look for this version it is outdated.

II. Install it - Windows

You don't really need my help here :p
You execute the *.exe then "next" -> "next"...

When you will run it for the first time it will ask to you if you want his help, click on no.

I. Download and install it - Linux(Ubuntu)

You will have to manually add the repositories for the PPA repository. Go to a command prompt and type :
Code:

sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

Then add the following two lines to the bottom of the file :
Code:

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/slicer/ubuntu hardy main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/slicer/ubuntu hardy main

Then run :
Code:

sudo apt-get update

(replace hardy with the correct one - depend of your distribution - The lasted 9.10 is Karmic Koala)

To install type this :
Code:

sudo apt-get install mumble

(Say always yes)

To launch mumble :
Go in application -> Internet -> mumble
Or in the console :
Code:

(sudo) mumble

When you will run it for the first time it will ask to you if you want his help, click on no.

III. Add/Change/Remove a server - Windows and Linux(Ubuntu)
To add a server fill up the boxes :
Label : Name of the server (for you )
Adress : Adress ip without port
Port : Just the port
Username : username
Password : password of the server or off the account(like admin) if no password, let it blank.
And click on New.
Image

Change a server :
Change the box you want and then click on update
Image

Remove a server :
Choose the server on the list and click on remove.

III. Configure it - Windows - Linux(Ubuntu)
You have 2 choices :
1) Go on Configure and click on Setup Wizard.
It will help you to configure your micro/headset, it's really easy with that.

2)Go on Configure and click on Settings and follow what I will say :
There we go :
1) Go on User Interface and click on the Expert Config
Image

2)Go on Audio Input Click on the list right to Transmit and choose if you want your micro to be :
- Continuous (Always activate)
-> Go to the next step
- Voice activity (Activate when you speak)
-> A bar will appear, when you voice is on the red we won't hear you but on the green we will. So if you move the two little cursor bellow the bar you will see that you can move the red bar and by that the sensibility of your micro.
- Push to talk (activate when you press on a key)
-> Go on the Shortcut and the first shortcut is called Push-To-Talk, click on the box and choose your key that you will push to talk.
Image

3)Still on the Audio Input you have a Compression part with that you will choose the size of the packet, well... you will configure the program with your connection :
Quality : If you have a good connection in UPLOAD and a good micro you can set it to 7 but otherwise just set it between 3 and 5.
Audio per packet : That's the number of audio frame you will send per packet, put it to the lowest you can (20 ms for me)
Image

4)Still on the Audio Input you have Audio Processing :
Noise suppression : If you have a bad micro set it high if you set it medium like me.
Amplification : I don't think I have to explain that to you Wink
Image

5)Go on Audio Output :
There is the volume, I let you config that.
Default Jitter Buffer : Set it as low as you can Wink
Other application : That's a cool that thing Smile (I don't use it xD), when someone talks mumble can set the sound of all other to X% and I'll let you configure this X, to not change the sound of the other programs running set it to 100%.

6)Go on Messages :
Text Message is when the program will read you all the messages.
Unmark all Text-To-Speech cases except the last one : Text Message
Or do like me :
Image

7) Go on Overlay (With that option you can see who's talking when you are in game):
Set it like me :
Image

And if you do like me you will have this in game(like in the top right) :
Image

8)If you want you can go on Shortcut and there is a lot of useful shortcuts.

If you have any questions, just answer to this thread.

Enjoy !

Tell you what Garf, we had a hell of a time last night on BC2. It was Gau, Lis and Pete on a different team, I was racking up the kills. I got Lis's dogtag, I was blasting headshots all over the park with my sniper! You would have been proud.
